OVERVIEW The Foreign Student/Scholar Advisor role within the Office of International Education at Carnegie Mellon University focuses on supporting international students and scholars throughout their academic and professional journeys. Based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, this position plays a central role in immigration advising, regulatory compliance, and collaboration across campus. The advisor contributes to the effective delivery of international education programs and services within a complex regulatory environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Advise international students and scholars on immigration and visa matters – Ensure compliance with applicable federal regulations related to international students and scholars – Coordinate with campus partners to support international education initiatives – Support international education programs and services REQUIREMENTS WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS International students and scholars rely on accurate, timely immigration guidance to maintain legal status and fully participate in academic life.
