The Alliant Couple and Family Clinic (ACFC) is seeking a Part-Time Clinic Director with full benefits. Under the general direction of the Executive Director, the Clinic Director provides administrative and office leadership and support for ACFC. The Clinic Director supervises the clinic coordinator position, all clinical supervision for university trainees, associates (employees), interns, and supervisors. The Clinic Director serves all constituencies of Alliant International University with high-quality service, promotes transparency, clarity, and adheres to the highest professional standards and ethical principles, and is committed to the University’s Mission and Vision. This role is a part-time, .53 FTE position, that is benefit eligible, with a starting salary of $50,000.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy (MFT) from an accredited university.
  • Experience: Three (3) years of experience as a licensed MFT supervisor.
  • Certifications, Licenses, etc.: BBSE MFT License (active and in good standing), EFT Supervisor certification, AAMFT Approved Supervisor certification. Valid California Driver’s license and automobile insurance; Live Scan required in addition to standard University background check.

  • Demonstrated experience working independently, exercising professional judgment, and taking initiative.
  • Ability to manage large interacting systems and trainees with varying levels of education and expertise expected.
  • Experience in managing a large office environment and licensed professionals and AAMFT supervisors preferred.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and clinical intervention supervision to trainees.
  • Provide oversight responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the ACFC (e.g., service delivery, clinical training of students, management of digital health care records).
  • Collaborate with the Executive Clinic Director, Systemwide Director, and Clinical Training Coordinators in planning and delivering training experiences.
  • Facilitate outreach and engage externally with community-based organizations, agencies, and schools to generate clinic referrals.
  • Conduct bi-monthly staff meetings which include clinical administration, supervision, and clinical program development discussions.
  • Oversee trainee orientation.

Supervision will include:

  • Individual supervision of at least one hour (50 minutes) per week per supervisee for approximately 10 supervises.
  • Weekly group supervision of up to 8 supervises at least four hours per week.
  • On-call supervision as necessary and appropriate.
  • Didactic training/in-services, as assigned.
  • Ongoing feedback to supervisees and completion of formal evaluations at intervals deemed appropriate by the program.
  • Review/editing of supervision clinical documentation and reports.
  • Cover clinical supervision needs, when necessary.
  • Perform other related tasks, duties, and responsibilities as required, assigned, or directed.

Responsibility:

  • Direct Reports: Clinic Coordinator and clinic employees (if applicable).
  • Indirect Reports: None.
  • Internal: Interact with supervisor to receive direction and instructions and/or review of work results. This position works closely with colleagues in multiple departments (i.e., clinical training coordinators, branch directors, etc.) to support both students and colleagues in achieving student success and department goals.
  • External: Contracted agencies, as applicable.

Primary Work Location, Hours & Travel Requirements:

  • Office Location: Clinic.
  • Work Hours: Standard office hours, occasional evenings or weekends may be required.
  • Travel: Occasional.
