Job Overview
The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) is seeking skilled professionals for the role of City Engagement Manager as part of the upcoming European City Leadership Initiative (ECLI). This initiative is designed to equip mayors and their teams with essential leadership skills through top-tier executive education offered both online and across various European locations. The program will support city leaders by addressing real-world challenges through research and experimentation, aiming to produce valuable resources and data to enhance the capabilities of European local governments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with cities across 47 European countries participating in the ECLI.
- Communicate with city participants, including mayors, elected officials, and city staff, to maximize their learning experience.
- Assist the Head of Programme in recruiting cities for the initiative, overseeing city selection, application, and admission processes.
- Design and manage the onboarding process for cities before the program’s commencement.
Candidate Qualifications
- Over 10 years of relevant professional experience in an international setting.
- Understanding of European governance structures.
- Ability to navigate political environments and a proven track record of working with politicians, elected leaders, and senior civil servants.
- Experience in building and managing relationships with high-profile stakeholders such as ministers and government officials.
