**Position Overview**
The Centre for Study Abroad is pivotal in advancing the university’s international goals by managing student mobility initiatives. This role, part of the outgoing team, is dedicated to supporting short-term and summer programs, granting Bristol’s undergraduate students the chance to study, work, or volunteer abroad during the summer break.
This is a dynamic and expanding field, with new programs being introduced annually. The environment is fast-paced, offering the opportunity to gain extensive experience by collaborating with students, university departments, and external organizations.
**Key Responsibilities**
In this role, you will:
– Manage a shared inbox, respond to daily inquiries, and escalate complex issues to the officer.
– Regularly review documentation for funding and process payments for students.
– Handle data processing and maintain accurate records using our database and MS Excel.
– Provide advice to students (and occasionally parents) about summer programs over the phone, assisting them with funding requirements and preparation for their international placements.
– Offer face-to-face support at our helpdesk in the Global Lounge once a week.
– Contribute to the planning and execution of promotional and pre-departure events.
**Candidate Profile**
This opportunity is ideal for someone eager to work in a fast-paced setting and gain varied experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent IT skills, a keen eye for detail in document verification and reporting, and strong organizational and prioritization abilities. Experience in customer service and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
