We are looking for a Casual LGBTQIA International Student Project Officer to join our team until December 2024. This role will require approximately 3-5 hours per week and is based in our office located on Bourke Street in Melbourne. The hourly rate for this role is $40.33 per hour plus 11% super.
As the LGBTQIA International Student Project Officer, you will be responsible for planning, delivering, and promoting a series of monthly social events for LGBTQIA international students across Melbourne. These events aim to foster social connectedness and improve the mental health and wellbeing of LGBTQIA international students.
To be successful in this role, you should have a deep understanding of the LGBTQIA community and ideally have lived experience in this community. Experience with social media promotion or marketing, as well as creative thinking and problem-solving skills, are also essential. A current Working with Children Check is required for this role.
Experience in events management, strong administrative and organizational skills, and excellent communication and networking abilities are desirable.
