OVERVIEW The Dean of Extended Education and International Programs at California State University, Monterey Bay provides senior leadership for professional, continuing, and international education initiatives. Reporting to the Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs, this role guides the growth of programs that serve diverse learners and advance the university’s global engagement. The position plays a central role in aligning extended and international education with regional, state, and international needs. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Provide leadership for professional and continuing education programming – Lead and oversee the university’s international programs and initiatives – Develop and expand extended education opportunities that respond to regional market needs – Develop and expand international education opportunities that respond to state and international market needs – Foster a more global and interconnected campus – Build and sustain partnerships with educational, business, community, and international allies – Advance the university’s international efforts through collaboration and strategic engagement REQUIREMENTS WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Extended and international education play a critical role in broadening access to learning, supporting workforce development, and connecting universities to their communities and the world.
