Job Details:
The University of California Education Abroad Program (UCEAP) is dedicated to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusiveness. The Associate Program Director (APD) position reports to the Director of Global Programming (DGP) and is responsible for student case management, coordination of health and safety emergencies, program management, and supervision of a functional team. The APD works closely with various departments and stakeholders to ensure the successful operation of assigned programs.
Required Qualifications:
– Master’s degree or equivalent experience
– Three or more years of intermediate to senior administrative and/or program management experience in international higher education
– Advanced knowledge of international education trends and policies
– Excellent communication skills
– Ability to work effectively with diverse groups
– Strong project management and problem-solving skills
– Ability to handle confidential information
– Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
– Willingness to travel domestically and abroad
– Availability for occasional backup responsibilities
– Ability to handle work-related emergencies outside of regular business hours
Preferred Qualifications:
– Experience in supporting international education programs
– Experience in project management
– Experience working in a multi-functional unit or team
– Experience in study abroad program development
– Supervisory experience in the field of study abroad
Special Conditions of Employment:

– Occasional travel to UC campuses and program sites abroad
– Availability for student emergencies outside of regular business hours
