**Compensation**:
Starting annual base salary ranges from $68,900 to $75,000. When extending an offer, Vassar College considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, budget constraints, and other market and organizational considerations. The salary range represents the College’s good faith and reasonable estimate at the time of posting.

**Position Summary and Responsibilities**:
Vassar College is seeking a full-time Associate Director for the Office of International Programs (OIP). This role involves promoting global engagement among students and faculty, which contributes to Vassar’s mission of fostering intellectual curiosity and engaged citizenship from a global perspective.

– Supervise and support the development of the Study Abroad Advisor
– Manage Terra Dotta study abroad application and risk management software
– Oversee Vassar exchange programs and intensive courses with international travel
– Administer Vassar-sponsored programs and implement on-campus programming
– Communicate with student participants before, during, and after their study abroad experiences
– Liaise with key campus stakeholders, institutional and provider program partners
– Oversee study abroad scholarship advising
– Assist the Director with assessment and reporting on study abroad enrollment and policies related to equity and inclusion in education abroad
– Participate in conferences and program site visits (domestic and international), with expected travel 2-3 times per year
– Ensure compliance with FERPA, Title IX, and Clery Act requirements

**Qualifications**:

*Required*:
– Bachelor’s degree and over 5 years of professional experience in international education, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience
– Familiarity with international education standards and codes of ethics
– Commitment to enhancing inclusion in education abroad
– Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
– Strong written and oral communication skills, including intercultural communication
– Ability to diplomatically communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
– Capability to articulate the value of a liberal arts education
– Willingness to periodically travel and conduct site visits
– Independent problem-solving and sound judgment skills
– Experience with database management systems

*Preferred*:
– Master’s Degree in International Education or a related field
– Experience with Terra Dotta Software
