**Associate Director of Campus Recreation**

**Position Overview:**
Florida International University (FIU), an innovative research institution located in Miami, Florida, is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional for the role of Associate Director of Campus Recreation. This on-site leadership position plays a crucial role in enhancing the university’s campus recreation programs and student engagement.

**Position Responsibilities:**
The Associate Director of Campus Recreation will report to the Senior Director of Campus Recreation. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and leading various programs, conducting assessments, and promoting student development at both the Modesto Maidique Campus (MMC) and the Biscayne Bay Campus (BBC). The role involves supervising the Assistant Director of Sport Programs, the Assistant Director of Fitness & Wellbeing, and the Marketing Account Manager, as well as indirectly managing a team of six full-time program professionals and over 200 student employees. The Associate Director will also provide support for managing a departmental budget of $42 million and will collaborate closely with the Senior Director as part of the senior leadership team.

**Public Salary Range:** $85,000-$90,000

**Qualifications:**
– **Minimum:**
– Bachelor’s degree in a wellness or recreation-related field.
– Six or more years of progressive experience in managing a campus recreation/wellness organization.
– Experience with overseeing multiple facilities and programs.
– Proven staff supervision and budget management skills.
– Valid driver’s license.
– **Preferred:**
– Master’s degree in a related field.
– Active involvement in NIRSA-Leaders in Collegiate Recreation professional association.
– Certifications in First Aid, CPR, and Pool Operation.
