Saïd Business School is currently in search of an enthusiastic and experienced leader to fill the role of Associate Director in our prestigious Master of Business Administration (MBA) program. With students from over 60 countries, our MBA program builds upon Oxford University’s renowned tradition of cultivating leaders who can tackle global challenges.
Role Summary:
As the Associate Director, you will report to the MBA Director and be a crucial figure in the MBA Program Team’s leadership. This senior position involves overseeing the overall management of the MBA Program Team, with the aim of delivering a seamless, high-quality student experience across the MBA and 1+1 MBA degree programs.
Responsibilities include comprehensive project and budget management, ensuring the successful delivery of the MBA program, and facilitating a smooth learning journey for our students. The selected candidate will play a key role in developing the program to deliver an exceptional student experience and prepare graduates for leadership positions in global organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide essential leadership and management to a growing team of 10-12 staff members.
- Offer guidance, translate strategy into operational outcomes, and foster an environment that aligns with the School’s core values.
- Supervise the delivery team and seek innovative ways to enhance delivery and communication throughout the entire student onboarding and program life cycle.
- Collaborate with internal (Careers, Examinations, Student Welfare) and external stakeholders (Alumni, scholarship funders, wider University departments, external sponsors of Student Projects and Internships) to deliver the highest quality service.
Opportunity Overview:
This is a thrilling time for the Oxford MBA Program as it undergoes a comprehensive review. The Associate Director will work closely with the Program Director and the Academic Director to shape the program’s course structure and content, ensuring it meets the future needs of MBA students and leaders, while incorporating Oxford’s distinctive approach to leadership and purpose.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with excellent stakeholder management skills and an entrepreneurial mindset. They will have the ability to shape the program’s curriculum, manage associated budgets, and take the initiative to chair meetings and implement changes for continuous improvement.
In addition, the individual in this role will advocate for the importance and value of a diverse and inclusive academic environment, actively engaging students, faculty, and staff in promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) practices and policies.
