American International University (AIU) in Kuwait is inviting applications for the role of Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs. Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the chief advocate for students, managing support services and programs.
- Collaborate on program transfer and implementation with international and local partners.
- Work closely with VPAA and VPESL on global outreach and student retention strategies.
- Enhance international student enrollment through strategic planning.
- Lead marketing and research initiatives with a global perspective.
- Oversee Student Information Systems, Student Life, and international student services.
- Manage staff recruitment and development with a focus on international diversity.
- Contribute to budget planning with international market insights.
- Represent AIU at global community forums and education committees.
- Stay updated on international trends in student services and higher education.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Expertise in international enrollment services, student programs, and student life.
- Proficiency in English communication, with additional language skills being an asset.
- Strong strategic planning, confidentiality, and problem-solving abilities in a global context.
- Experience managing international teams and budgets.
- Technological proficiency in global student information systems.
- Understanding of social media’s impact on international higher education.
Education and Experience:
- A Master’s degree, preferably in Higher Education Administration or a related international field.
- Significant experience in executive roles within higher education, preferably with an international focus.
- Proven leadership in enrollment management or student development programs, especially in a multicultural setting.
- Experience with budgeting, data-driven decision-making, and use of student information systems in an international context.
