The job description is for an Executive Assistant role at the Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHI) in Oxford. The position requires the candidate to provide professional and proactive executive support to the Director of OPHI, Professor Sabina Alkire, and contribute to the work of the research and policy centre. The role is part-time (18.75 hours / 0.5% FTE), fixed-term for 12 months, with the possibility of extension depending on funding availability.
The ideal candidate for this role should be highly organised, professional, hard-working, and committed to working as part of an international team on poverty measurement and reduction. The candidate should possess excellent communication skills, with a proven track record in researching and drafting correspondence, proofreading, writing agendas/minutes, presentations, and reports. The post holder will manage the effective day-to-day organisation of the Director’s diary (across multiple time zones) and international travel arrangements, and provide extensive support in correspondence. They will also be expected to identify processes in which they can make improvements and offer better support in a highly efficient manner.
