Job Description:
Texas A&M International University (TAMIU), a prominent member of the Texas A&M University System, is excited to welcome applications for the role of Assistant Professor of Transportation and International Logistics commencing in Fall 2025. Located in the lively and culturally diverse city of Laredo, Texas, TAMIU serves over 8,000 students as a designated Hispanic Serving Institution. This tenure-track position offers a 9-month contract with a reduced teaching load initially to facilitate research activities. Key responsibilities include teaching, conducting research with publications in peer-reviewed journals, and contributing services to the college and university. Engagement in departmental and university committees and supporting AACSB accreditation is also expected. Regular on-campus presence is required.

The A.R. Sanchez, Jr. School of Business is AACSB-accredited, houses a Ph.D. program in International Business Administration, and publishes The International Trade Journal, recently listed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a PhD/DBA in Business or a closely related field, with at least 18 hours of graduate coursework in Transportation or International Logistics. Those who are ABD will be considered but must complete their doctorate by the appointment date. We strongly encourage applicants with a robust teaching and research background in logistics and trade, who can enhance our academic programs and community partnerships.
