About the Position:

Texas A&M International University, a member of the Texas A&M University System, is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Assistant Professor of Transportation and International Logistics, commencing in Fall 2025. This tenure-track position offers a reduced teaching load in initial years to foster research activities and aims to advance the dynamic field of transportation and international logistics within a culturally rich and diverse setting.

About TAMIU:

Located in the vibrant, bicultural city of Laredo, Texas, TAMIU serves over 8,000 students as a Hispanic Serving Institution dedicated to research, teaching, and public service with a strong commitment to student success and academic excellence. The A.R. Sanchez, Jr. School of Business at TAMIU is AACSB-accredited and hosts a PhD program in International Business Administration, alongside The International Trade Journal, now included in the Emerging Sources Citation Index.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Teaching: Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in transportation and international logistics.
  • Research: Conduct cutting-edge research and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Service: Engage in service roles within departmental, university, and professional committees. Support the university’s AACSB accreditation efforts.

Required Qualifications:

  • A PhD/DBA in Business or a related field, with at least 18 graduate hours in transportation or international logistics. ABDs will be considered provided the doctorate is completed prior to appointment.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching and research in logistics and trade.
  • Ability to contribute to academic programs and foster community and industry partnerships.
