**Job Description:**
Texas A&M International University (TAMIU), a proud member of the Texas A&M University System, is excited to open applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Transportation and International Logistics, commencing in Fall 2025. TAMIU, a recognized Hispanic Serving Institution, enrolls over 8,000 students and is situated in the dynamic, bicultural city of Laredo, Texas, which has a population of approximately 250,000. This is a tenure-track, 9-month position that includes a reduced teaching load during the initial years to encourage research endeavors. Primary responsibilities include teaching courses, engaging in research with an expectation to publish in relevant peer-reviewed journals, and providing service to the college and university. Service commitments also entail participation in departmental, university, and professional committees and fulfilling AACSB accreditation requirements. The role requires regular on-campus attendance and face-to-face interactions.
The A.R. Sanchez, Jr. School of Business holds AACSB accreditation, offers a PhD program in International Business Administration, and hosts The International Trade Journal, which has recently been indexed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index.
**Required Qualifications:**
Applicants must possess a PhD/DBA in Business or a closely related field, with a minimum of 18 graduate coursework hours in Transportation or International Logistics. Candidates who are ABD (All But Dissertation) will be considered, provided they complete their doctorate before the appointment. We highly encourage applications from individuals with substantial teaching and research experience in logistics and trade, who can contribute to our academic programs and community collaborations.
