The Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies is seeking a full-time Assistant Professor in Public International Law. The successful candidate will have various responsibilities. These include developing and delivering core courses in public international law, coordinating and leading teaching activities, conducting high-level research, obtaining and managing research funding, assisting with other research and teaching-related work, and offering specialized seminars.
The ideal candidate should have excellent Dutch and English language skills, a PhD degree, a strong publication record in public international law, teaching experience, leadership qualities, and a dedication to the goals and objectives of the Centre. The candidate must also be willing to work collaboratively and collegially in a team.
Leiden Law School is one of the largest faculties in the Netherlands and focuses on high-level teaching and research. The Grotius Centre is a leading academic institution in public international law and global justice. It hosts several international research projects, scientific journals, and LLM programs, as well as training courses, lectures, and seminars.
The Assistant Professor position is initially for one year, with the potential for becoming permanent. Salary will depend on experience.
