Job Opportunity: Assistant Director of Operations, Global Experiences Office, University of Nebraska–Lincoln
Position Overview:
The University of Nebraska–Lincoln is seeking a dedicated Assistant Director of Operations for its Global Experiences Office (GEO). This role is vital to the administrative team and demands exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a solid understanding of enrollment procedures. This position offers the opportunity to engage with international education processes and collaborate with diverse teams, enriching your professional journey in the international academic arena.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage student program enrollment and the transfer of course credits.
- Develop and oversee budgets, program billing, and cost projections.
- Supervise daily administrative tasks, including managing the Global Affairs suites and student workers.
- Collaborate with international departments to monitor enrollment procedures.
- Work closely with the Director of Global Health and Safety to ensure optimal processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree with at least two years of experience in budget management and basic accounting, or equivalent education/experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and general knowledge of business processes.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with an eye for detail.
- Ability to work with sensitive and confidential matters.
- Excellent teamwork capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in higher education and supervisory skills.
- Familiarity with databases and student information systems like MyRed (PeopleSoft), MyPLAN, or Terra Dotta.
