Minnesota State University Moorhead

Recruitment:

– Develop and implement an international recruitment schedule and strategy, conducting both virtual and in-person recruitment events to attract prospective international students.
– Evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies to meet or exceed enrollment goals.
– Stay updated on global, national, and local trends and campus news that may impact prospective students, and utilize this information to make informed decisions in the admission process.
– Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders such as high school counselors and education advisors.
– Utilize a customer relations management system to manage communication with prospective students, utilizing written, text, social media, and telephone channels to generate interest in applying and enrolling.

Admissions Processing:

– Collect and submit official documents from prospective students and evaluate unofficial transcripts to determine if admission criteria are met.
– Evaluate educational credentials, English proficiency, and financial documents following established best practices and university policies.
– Maintain regular contact with prospective students, counselors, and families throughout the application and admission process.
– Utilize multiple systems for international admission processes.

Agent Management:

– Manage the third-party contractor responsible for recruiting international students for Minnesota State University Moorhead.
– Provide training and materials on university programs and services to the contractor.
– Track the progress of prospects recruited by the contractor and provide compensation as outlined in the contract.

International Alumni Ambassador Program (IAAP) Management:

– Collaborate with the Global Education Committee to develop and promote the IAAP to graduating students.
– Recruit and train ambassadors to assist with university outreach activities and events.
– Utilize the IAAP to promote academic programs, increase community awareness, and build relationships with prospective international students and key stakeholders.

Immigration Advising and Consultation:

– Serve as a Designated School Official (DSO) to the Department of Homeland Security.
– Issue Initial I20s and DS2019s for international students and their dependents who require F and J visas
