### Position Announcement: Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor (Tenured or Tenure Track) in Health Disparities/Health Equity Research
#### Job Overview
FIU in Miami, FL, seeks applicants for several tenure-track or tenured faculty positions in the field of minority health, health disparities, and health equity research. We are hiring at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor levels. Candidates should have a proven record of securing extramural funding from agencies such as NIH, CDC, and NSF, and experience researching underserved and underrepresented populations, including racial and ethnic minorities, rural populations, people with disabilities, and sexual and gender minorities. Preferred candidates will also have a background in mentoring graduate students and/or early career investigators, transdisciplinary collaboration, community partnership, and research dissemination. All areas of health disparities research will be considered.
This hiring initiative aligns with FIU’s NIMHD-funded Research Center in a Minority Institution Program. Departmental appointments will be aligned with the candidates’ expertise and specialization. FIU is committed to bolstering health disparities and health equity research, scholarship, and mentorship.
#### Responsibilities
– Engage in collaborative and applied research with FIU-RCMI faculty and trainees, aiding in grant applications and data analysis on funded grants.
– Conduct methodological research that leads to peer-reviewed publications and securing grant funding.
– Teach graduate-level courses.
– Supervise graduate and post-doctoral trainees.

– For senior scholars, a record of securing large-scale extramural funding is essential. For junior scholars, a demonstrated potential for securing such funding is crucial.
