Position Overview:
The Africa Oxford Initiative is seeking a highly skilled Programme Manager to oversee the AfOx Transitions Programmes. This role is based at the Centre for Tropical Medicine and Global Health, University of Oxford. The primary responsibility is to coordinate the Scholars Transitions Programme, focusing on supporting African students beyond academia and facilitating their professional growth. Key tasks include:
- Developing partnerships with diverse organizations across Africa.
- Managing communications and administrative processes for the Ubuntu Transitions Programme.
- Ensuring synergy between the AfOx Transitions Programme and other initiatives like the Research and Innovation Fellowships.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- A Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Significant programme management experience.
- Expertise in transitions or career support roles.
- Familiarity with the career development landscape in Africa and experience collaborating with African institutions.
- Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle varied workloads efficiently.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, with a focus on colleagues and partners in Africa.
- Working knowledge of GDPR and student admissions is an advantage.
