PASS GLOBAL Pty Ltd trading as ALTEC College is a Registered Training Organisation offering a wide range of nationally accredited courses, from Certificate to Diploma and Graduate Diploma Level. ALTEC College specializes in training in the disciplines of Business, Management, and Hospitality.
The main responsibility of this position is to handle enquiries and applications from prospective students. The role includes tasks such as coordinating and assessing student applications, liaising with education agents, providing administrative support, and participating in student enrolment activities. The ideal candidate for this position should be enthusiastic, well-organized, flexible, and have a friendly, professional demeanor. They should also have the ability to connect with people from different countries and cultural backgrounds.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
The following examples of accountabilities are not exhaustive and additional responsibilities may be assigned as required:
Customer Service
- Respond professionally and promptly to international students, agents, and partners regarding admission of international students.
- Follow up with applicants, agents, and partners to ensure their needs are met.
- Assist in organizing international student events on campus, such as orientation.
Administrative Duties
- Collaborate with the team of Admissions officer(s).
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of international student admission records on the Student Management System (aXcelerate).
- Manage and process applications and generate Letters of Offer/Agreements.
- Create Confirmation of Enrolments using the PRISMS database.
- Maintain the Overseas Student Health Cover schedule and communicate with the OSHC provider to ensure students have health cover from their arrival in Australia until the completion of their course.
- Handle other enrolment/pre-enrolment student documentation.
Liaison and Communication
- Lead the team and maintain communication with internal staff across the organization.
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with students, agents, partners, faculties, schools, and other relevant sections of the college regarding international student admission matters.
- Prepare independent written correspondence and documentation related to the admissions process.
Decision-making
- Evaluate international education qualifications to determine eligibility for programs and verify the authenticity of qualifications.
- Issue letters of offer in accordance with ALTEC College’s processes and policies.
- Process acceptances and issue Confirmation of Enrolments (CoEs) in compliance with ALTEC College’s policy and procedures, as well as the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act, The National Code, and the Australian Immigration Office’s student visa program.
Knowledge and proficiency
- Provide advice and information to applicants, agents, partners, faculty, and other staff of the College, as well as external agencies, regarding foreign qualifications eligibility, admissions requirements and procedures, visas, support services, and more.
- Keep up-to-date with the ESOS Act, The National Code, and CRICOS registration requirements, as well as ALTEC College’s policies and procedures relevant to international students.
Key Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated work experience in a similar role and specific knowledge of international education, including current challenges and trends.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) within a culturally diverse education community or similar environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines.
- Ability to contribute positively and work effectively within a team environment, as well as independently.
- Self-motivation, leadership skills, and the ability to contribute to the organizational development of the College.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Applications and strong keyboard skills, with the ability to quickly learn new systems. (mandatory)
- Problem-solving, negotiation, and analytical skills within the scope of this position.
- Interest in and commitment to contributing to the educational vision, values, planning, and strategies of the College.
- Understanding of and commitment to Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
Desirable Selection Competencies
- Knowledge and understanding of the legislative environment of international education, including PRISMS, CRICOS, The National Code, and the ESOS Act. (mandatory)
- Experience in international education in Australia.
- Fluency in a language other than English.
