Job Summary:
We are currently seeking an experienced Admissions and Examinations Administrator to join the Education Office in the Department of Mathematics. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a dedicated team supporting students throughout their academic journey. It is a fast-paced and varied position, with responsibility for managing a large volume of applications and examinations. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills, as well as substantial administration experience in Admissions and Examinations. The role also involves being the main point of contact for undergraduate admissions within the Department, overseeing the recruitment and scheduling of casual workers for Open Days and exams, and assisting the Education Office Manager in identifying areas for improvement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Admissions Administration: Responsible for overseeing undergraduate admissions processes and procedures, including the Mathematics Admissions Test (MAT). Provides support tasks as directed by the Admissions Tutor and compiles accurate and up-to-date admissions data.
• Examinations Administration: Ensures strict adherence to College Examination Procedures and coordinates Departmental exam logistics. Assists with invigilator recruitment, training, and scheduling.
• Other Key Duties: Utilizes technology and systems to enhance admissions and examinations processes. Contributes to enhancing the student experience.
Essential Requirements:
• Degree level education or equivalent experience.
• Professional experience in Higher Education or equivalent knowledge in Admissions and Examinations administration.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and comply with GDPR regulations.
• Strong customer service skills and experience working in a responsive customer-facing environment.
Further Information:
This is a full-time, open-ended position based at the South Kensington Campus. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
