Adjunct Teaching Faculty: Nursing (Med-Surg, critical care, maternal-child health, pediatrics, mental health, research, informatics, evidence-based practice).
Adjunct Faculty are scholars and professionals who specialize in teaching in their specific areas. They are primarily affiliated with the university as non-core faculty members.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Facilitating Classroom and Distance/Distributed Learning
• Course and syllabus preparation
• Class curriculum coordination and planning
• Assessment and evaluation of learners
• Mentoring and advising of students
• Holding office hours and meeting with students

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Graduate degree in nursing with a preference for a doctorate degree in nursing or related field from an accredited college or university. Official transcripts required.

Experience: Minimum of two years of full-time registered nursing clinical experience. Teaching or clinical experience preferred. Curriculum or course development experience preferred.

Certifications, Licenses, etc.: For teaching BSN and MSN-DE programs, must hold an unencumbered RN licensure in Arizona or a multi-state compact license. For faculty teaching in post-licensure online programs, must hold an unencumbered RN licensure in California and the state of residence. Additional licenses may be required. Certified Nurse Educator or certification in a specialty area preferred.

Other: Must pass a criminal background check and meet all requirements of clinical partners, if applicable.

Background Check Requirements:
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, including criminal, prior employment, and education verification. Failure to complete the background check satisfactorily may affect the application status or continued employment.
