Fordham University in London – Adjunct Professor Position
Fordham University in London is seeking an adjunct professor to teach a level three course in Business Marketing (MKBU 3458) during the fall semester. The course will run from September 4, 2023, to December 16, with a study break from October 23-27.
With the increasing strain on global resources, consumers are placing more importance on environmental sustainability. This course will explore how marketing can create, communicate, and deliver value to customers in ways that preserve the environment. Students will learn about sustainable marketing strategies and the impact they have on businesses. By the end of the course, students will be able to understand and explain sustainability’s role in marketing, identify sustainable marketing opportunities, and influence organizational marketing efforts towards sustainability.
Successful candidates must be experienced and effective teachers who can engage and cater to a diverse student body. The course will be taught in weekly three-hour blocks on Wednesday afternoons (14.00-17.00). Fordham London hosts approximately 600 students each year from Fordham University’s School of Arts & Science and the Gabelli School of Business.
Main Duties:
- Teach the course on Global Sustainability Marketing
- Prepare teaching materials
- Provide an updated syllabus and course pack/reader
- Offer academic advising
- Arrange/co-accompany students on co-curricular trips and invite guest speakers
- Administer examinations and assessments
- Attend academic staff meetings
Required Qualifications:
- Masters degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field
- Relevant teaching experience in higher education
- Excellent communication skills
Desired Qualifications:
- PhD in a relevant field or nearing completion
- Previous experience teaching in US higher education
- Research experience and publications in the subject area
Person Specification:
The ideal candidate should be able to develop effective working relationships with academic and administrative staff. Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the UK.
Salary:
- £4,400 plus eligible pension contribution
