Job Title: Academic Services Officer Location: UWA College, The University of Western Australia, Crawley, Perth Type of Contract: Full-time, permanent We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Academic Services Officer to join our team at UWA College. As the pathway college for The University of Western Australia, our mission is to prepare international students for success at UWA by providing tailored learning experiences through Foundation and Diploma programs. Joining our academic services team, you will play a crucial role in supporting both staff and students in their academic journey. Key Responsibilities: ā Foster a student-centric and welcoming environment by actively participating in events and engaging with the student cohort. ā Maintain and manage student record systems and procedures, including exams, timetabling, progression, and results. ā Manage data and information as directed by the Academic Services Manager. ā Assist with the delivery of Orientation and the enrollment process for UWA College students. ā Provide effective academic administration support. ā Facilitate the delivery, monitoring, and assessment of academic programs to meet quality standards. ā Familiarize yourself with other academic and student services roles to provide necessary cover when required. ā Build and maintain effective relationships with INTO Staff, University Partners, and other stakeholders on academic support matters. ā Assist with staff induction on Academic Services procedures and systems. ā Identify areas for continuous improvement in systems and processes and provide relevant training for staff. ā Contribute to a collaborative working environment to enhance the student learning experience and working conditions for College staff. ā Participate in professional development activities and apply acquired knowledge to the role. ā Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and service to students and staff at all times. Requirements: ā Strong administrative skills with meticulous attention to detail. ā Experience in administration within a fast-paced, dynamic environment. ā Excellent time management skills. ā Exceptional communication skills to engage effectively with various stakeholders. ā Proficient in using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. ā Ability to analyze and consolidate data. ā Positive attitude towards work and ability to adapt to new tasks and challenges. ā Good analytical and decision-making abilities. ā Strong prioritization skills, ability to meet deadlines, and work under pressure. ā Committed to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young adults. Please note that all UWA College staff must undergo a Western Australian Working with Children Check, National Police check, and provide two references. The successful candidate must also demonstrate their eligibility to work in Australia.
