The School of Computing and Digital Media at London Metropolitan University is internationally recognized for its high-quality teaching, excellent facilities, and unique opportunities. We offer courses in various subject areas, including Communications Technology and Mathematics, Computer Science and Applied Computing, and Creative Technologies and Digital Media.
About the Post
The postholder will provide accessible and timely academic support to postgraduate international students in the School of Computing and Digital Media.
You will work as part of a team to develop academic support for students, collaborating with staff and students to enhance their achievement.
Your responsibilities will include delivering high-quality support and making a significant contribution to improving retention, progression, and achievement rates within the School. You will be committed to providing seamless support as part of the academic support strategy to enhance the student experience.
You will provide dedicated and targeted support, focusing on the needs of international students. This includes developing their academic skills, directing them to relevant non-academic support services, and implementing School-wide and institutional initiatives to improve international student outcomes. You will be proficient in the technical areas of Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Media, Cybersecurity, and Computer Networking.
In addition to working with course teams, you will assist student Success Coaches who provide peer support to students. The post also involves supporting the School in delivering fair outcomes for students through inclusive academic practice, in line with the University’s Education for Social Justice Framework.
