### The Role
We are seeking a motivated and capable individual to join us as the Director of Academic Services for the School of Health and Care. You will share our passion for education and health and social care, playing a pivotal role in the School’s growth and evolution. Your responsibilities will include providing supportive team leadership and integrating new ways of working within the School.
The School of Health and Care offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses for health and social care professionals, complemented by a broad portfolio of CPD courses. With multiple locations throughout the UK and numerous international partnerships, the School is positioned to meet diverse educational needs.
As the Academic Director, you will be tasked with understanding industry demands and developing innovative models of health and care education. Your goal will be to ensure that our educational programs align with the Group’s vision and values.
You will provide strategic and operational leadership, maintain effective communication, and foster high levels of collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team. Your mission will be to develop and implement the School’s annual business plan as we aim to deliver high-quality education to health and social care professionals globally.

The role demands strategic vision, relationship-building skills, leadership capabilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional and innovative educational experiences. You should have a distinguished profile as an academic or practitioner, with a track record of leading and implementing best practices. Additionally, you should be able to support and contribute to curriculum development, transnational education partnerships, and international commercial projects.
As the Academic Director, you will bring both a UK and international focus, driving global leadership and growth. You will lead a dedicated team of professionals committed to enhancing the lives of individuals and communities. Your inclusive leadership style and strong ability to collaborate with internal and external partners will be crucial.
Successful candidates must showcase a history of effective leadership and change management with proven transformational successes.
### Qualifications Required
– A PhD plus relevant professional experience or equivalent expertise, along with a postgraduate qualification in a related subject.
– Recognized teaching qualification in Higher Education and/or recognition against the UK professional standards framework.
– Extensive leadership experience within the Health and Care education sector.
– Professional registration.
