**Brief Summary of Job Duties:**
The Academic Development Coordinator, under the guidance of the Director of Academic Development, is integral to team support. This role assists the Academic Integration Analyst in projects related to integrating UCEAP programs and courses into UC campus curricula. Responsibilities include administrative and analytical tasks for academic integration and program advancement, coordinating UCEAP program reviews, planning site visits, and preparing review materials. The role involves applying research concepts for data analysis in moderately complex projects, providing consultative services to UCEAP teams and external partners, and becoming a resource for discipline-specific information. The coordinator must develop a thorough understanding of academic programs at UC campuses and UCEAP partner institutions worldwide.
**Required Qualifications:**
– Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or equivalent experience and training.
– 1-3 years of administrative experience.
– 1-3 years of experience in a higher education setting.
– Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with assertiveness, diplomacy, and keen attention to detail.
– Sound judgment and discretion.
– Team-oriented with the ability to work collaboratively with faculty and international partners.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, PowerBI, SharePoint, and Teams.
– Strong analytical and data evaluation skills.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
– Familiarity with university curriculum, academic standards, and policies, particularly the University of California’s.
– Knowledge of humanities curriculum and degree requirements, and/or experience advising humanities students at the UC or another university.
**Special Conditions of Employment:**
– The UCEAP Systemwide Office is based in Goleta, CA (near UCSB). The position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement, with on-site presence for leadership meetings, delegations, training, etc. Travel expenses related to commuting to the office are not reimbursed by the University. Occasional travel may be required for conferences or UC campus meetings within California.
