Job Description: Title: Student Advisor, ILSC & Greystone College Perth (Part-time) Start Date: Immediate Report to: Student Services Manager, Perth This job description is not an exhaustive list of duties, but provides an overview of the position’s scope. Section I – Duties and Responsibilities: Student Advising: – Provide support to students on campus, including cultural acclimatization and academic issues. – Assist with student accommodation requests (such as Homestay and student residence). – Offer special care to underage students through regular check-ins. – Prepare for the intake of new students (ELICOS & VET programs). – Facilitate academic and financial intervention and problem-solving as needed. – Support agents by answering calls, addressing current student inquiries, and providing course information. – Act as a point of contact for walk-in students, conduct school tours, and ensure successful conversion. – Facilitate student extensions. – Create and revise invoices and payment plans. – Issue COEs (Confirmation of Enrolment) and work with the school’s database system. Other: – Answer phone calls, transfer calls, and take messages. – Assist students with questions and problems or direct them to the appropriate department. – Update PRISMS site with relevant student information. – Support the manager and academic director with assigned tasks. – Provide assistance at the reception if needed. – Attend general staff and team meetings and training sessions as assigned. Section II – Selection Criteria: – Experience working in an international college or school. – Excellent time management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. – Outstanding organizational skills. – Demonstrated customer service skills. – Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. – Proficiency in technical skills such as database management, Microsoft 365, and PRISMS. – Passion for education and sensitivity to cultural and language issues faced by international students. – Ability to work independently and as part of a team, taking proactive action when necessary. – Willingness to take the lead on tasks and collaborate with the team’s workload. – Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory. Knowledge of a second language like Korean, Japanese, or Thai is a plus. Working Hours: Part-time position (20 hours per week) scheduled between Monday and Friday, from 8 am to 8 pm. This position is based in Perth and does not offer a work-from-home option. Immediate start.
