### Job Opportunity: PBS Team Leader **Contract Duration:** Fixed Term Contract up to March 2025 — **Role Overview:** The University of Birmingham’s Registry, responsible for student progression from Registration to Graduation and maintaining student records, invites applications for the role of PBS Team Leader within Student Administration. The Registry ensures compliance with this licence by overseeing various responsibilities. **Role Summary:** The PBS Team Leader will be an integral part of the Registry’s PBS team. Your primary focus will be on the development, monitoring, and reviewing of procedures related to both Student route and non-Student route visa international students, ensuring compliance with the University’s sponsor licence. Your responsibilities span both taught and research students, necessitating a thorough understanding of all academic levels and promoting collaborative teamwork within the PBS team. **Key Responsibilities:** – Implement and review current Registry policies and procedures in line with University legislation and Home Office requirements. – Ensure compliance with Home Office immigration guidelines. – Develop, enhance, and improve processes in response to changes in immigration rules, guidance, and University legislation. – Support Registry-wide systems development and related projects. **Required Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:** – A good honours degree or relevant equivalent experience. – Proven experience in driving process review and development. – Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of influencing and persuading others. – Ability to work effectively with complex multi-user databases. – Excellent organizational skills, capable of prioritizing workloads, multitasking, and working well under pressure. – Evidence of strong initiative and independent judgment. – Exceptional IT skills, particularly using MS Office and large multi-user databases. – Aptitude for learning new systems/software quickly. – Practical experience with managing complex multi-user systems. – High attention to detail and accuracy. – Flexible approach to working and learning styles. – Proven problem-solving abilities. – Strong numeracy skills. **Application Process:** If you wish to apply, informal enquiries can be directed to Joe Stewart Watkins at j.j.watkins@bham.ac.uk.
