International Applicant’s Guide to the Program Coordinator Role at Kenyon College
Position Overview:
Kenyon College seeks a dynamic Program Coordinator to support the Center for Global Engagement (CGE). This role is integral to facilitating cross-cultural experiences and fostering global understanding within our campus community.
Responsibilities Include:
- Act as the Designated School Official for the Student and Exchange Visitor Program.
- Coordinate the Friendship Family Program and Meet the World in Knox County initiatives.
- Organize Off-Campus Study (OCS) Information Day, and assist with international pre-orientation, OCS meetings, and workshops.
- Provide support in OCS advising, interviews, application processes, reviews, and evaluations.
- Implement and manage TerraDotta software for international student advising.
- Coordinate digital media efforts, including updates to CGE’s website and social media.
- Assist in the OCS billing process and CGE events, alongside routine office duties.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident per SEVP requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Strong commitment to supporting students from diverse backgrounds and an interest in cross-cultural issues.
- Effective communication skills with diverse groups including students, faculty, and external partners.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and manage multiple tasks and interruptions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft and Google Suite tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with F-1 SEVIS regulations and the study abroad field.
- Experience with Banner, TerraDotta, and Etrieve systems.
- Availability for evening and weekend hours as required.
