Partnering with various schools, colleges, and university offices, OIA supports international student recruitment, academic programs, global educational partnerships, research collaborations, and global learning opportunities. The International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) division provides expert immigration advice to international students, scholars, hiring units, and faculty/staff. ISSS ensures compliance with complex immigration regulations for those engaged in academic pursuits at CU Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus. **International Services Manager** In this crucial role, the International Services Manager leads the ISSS team, training, mentoring, and supervising three International Services Specialists to support international students and exchange visitors in compliance with federal regulations. The position involves identifying administrative issues, designing solutions, overseeing operational infrastructure and innovation, representing ISSS in stakeholder meetings, and managing communications strategies. This role reports to the Director of International Student & Scholar Services. **Key Responsibilities** 1. **Supervision, Training, and Mentoring (40%)** – Supervise exempt professional staff, including performance management. – Hire, train, supervise, and mentor Graduate and Administrative Student Assistants. – Train and mentor ISSS staff, review procedural issues, and provide training on advanced topics. – Foster a respectful, diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment. 2. **Communication and Outreach (20%)** – Develop and maintain a strategic communication plan and annual calendar with ISSS and campus stakeholders. – Design and oversee reports, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility. – Manage systems-based communications to optimize pre-arrival and ongoing engagement with international students. – Facilitate webinars and online training sessions. – Represent ISSS at various forums. 3. **Regulatory Compliance (20%)** – Serve as Primary Designated School Official, managing updates and recertification of programs. – Troubleshoot documentation and records, ensuring compliance with federal regulations. – Assist with database management and internal audits. – Update ISSS policies and procedures in response to regulatory changes. 4. **Operational Infrastructure and Innovation (15%)** – Implement operational improvements using technology. – Enhance Sunapsis functionality and technological development for ISSS communication and programming. – Continuously improve services to enhance customer experience. 5. **General Administration (5%)** – Assist with budget creation and reconciliation. – Support financial processes and forecasting. **Minimum Qualifications** – Bachelor’s degree in international education, international affairs, or a related field. – 3 years of experience in an ISSS office, processing immigration casework, and working with SEVIS. **Preferred Qualifications** – Master’s degree in international education, international affairs, or a related field. – Proficiency in a foreign language. – Experience living abroad for education or employment. **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities** – Proficient in interpreting and applying immigration laws and regulations. – Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. – Knowledge of SEVIS and batch processing systems. – Ability to manage multiple projects and mentor staff. – Excellent written, oral, and cross-cultural communication skills. – Strong analytical, interpersonal, and leadership skills. **Conditions of Employment** – Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident. – Hybrid work structure: three days on campus, two days remote. – Recommended COVID-19 vaccination. **Compensation and Benefits** – Salary range: $67,051 – $74,109 – Benefits: [www.cu.edu/employee-services/benefits](https://www.cu.edu/employee-services/benefits) – Total Compensation Calculator: [www.cu.edu/node/153125](http://www.cu.edu/node/153125) **Application Deadline** Applications accepted until the position is filled.
