Job Description:
Join our diverse team at Northern Arizona University’s Center for International Education (CIE). As an International Admissions Coordinator, Senior, you will contribute to NAU’s mission of preparing students to tackle global challenges. Your role within the International Admissions and Evaluations (IAE) team will involve facilitating the application process, supporting student success, and upholding NAU’s commitment to diversity and excellence in education.

Responsibilities:
– Process student applications, evaluate transcripts, and review admission packages
– Identify and implement process improvements to enhance student satisfaction and ensure a qualified and diverse student population
– Guide students through application requirements and options
– Uphold NAU’s standards to attract and support international students
– Stay informed about immigration regulations and credential evaluation procedures
– Serve as a Designated School Official (DSO) to support international students’ studying in the U.S.
– Assist with transfer credit evaluation and manage course curriculum
– Foster cross-campus collaborations and provide support to departments and advisors
– Manage scholarships and communicate with students regarding scholarship opportunities
– Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in a related field
– Minimum of three years of professional work experience in higher education or business, or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training
– Worked, lived, or studied abroad
– US citizenship or lawful permanent residence status (required for DSO designation)

Preferred Qualifications:
– Five years of professional experience in international education or admissions
– Experience in transcript evaluation and transfer credits
– Master’s degree in a related field
– Familiarity with university-related student management systems

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
– Knowledge of international student cultural contexts and educational systems
– Skills in multitasking, prioritizing, and maintaining professionalism
– Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software
– Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
– Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
– Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and promote inclusivity
– Analytical skills to evaluate information and make informed decisions
