Job Title: Student Community Officer Employment Type: 0.4 FTE (working 14.8 hours per week) Salary: UH6 £31,396 to £33,966 pro rata pa with potential to progress to £37,099 pro rata pa Location: Hatfield (some flexibility for home working) Responsibilities: – Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance services – Educate students and external agencies on student Code of Conduct and enforce disciplinary procedures – Investigate and address complaints regarding students in a timely manner – Comply with Safeguarding responsibilities and escalate any concerns identified – Participate in university disciplinary hearings when necessary – Assist in organizing housing events and communicate relevant information to students – Help with arrangements for international arrivals and transportation to UH campuses Skills and Experience: – Maintain professionalism and promote equality and diversity in accordance with university policies – Good knowledge of Higher Education and staying updated with relevant developments – Ability to provide necessary support and engagement for student success – Conduct joint house visits and support start and end of term operations Qualifications: – Degree or equivalent experience – Safeguarding Level One Please review the job description and person specification for a full list of responsibilities and qualifications.
