Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida is seeking an Associate Director of Global Education to join their team. This position will provide support to the Office of Global Education, working closely with the director and faculty to develop faculty-led programs and assist students studying through partner organizations. The Associate Director will ensure programs run smoothly and support students throughout the international study experience. Additionally, they will oversee office management and represent the Office of Global Education in the absence of the director. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, students, staff, and parents. Experience in international education/study abroad administration and student support is necessary, as well as the ability to multitask and handle complex responsibilities within tight deadlines. Proficiency in Google files, Microsoft Word, and Excel is required, and experience with Terra Dotta software is a plus. Key responsibilities of the Associate Director include managing the logistics of faculty-led study abroad programs, such as budget planning, passport and visa requirements, and transportation arrangements. The Associate Director will also coordinate communication between the Office of Global Education and other campus offices to ensure efficient processes for student enrollment, grades, scholarships, and payments. They will help resolve student, family, and faculty issues and maintain relationships with affiliate and exchange programs. Furthermore, the Associate Director will design and conduct programming to inform students about study abroad courses and assist them in selecting and registering for programs. They will manage scholarship applications and awards for Eckerd students and facilitate pre-departure and post-return orientation sessions. Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (master’s preferred) and 2-4 years of experience in international education. Experience advising and supporting college-age students, administering programs in higher education, and marketing and hosting events for students is necessary.
