The Global Education Office at William & Mary is currently seeking applicants for the role of Assistant Director of Global Education. This position offers the opportunity to join a team of dedicated international educators at William & Mary, a prestigious public research university situated in historic Williamsburg, Virginia. As an integral member of our Global Education Office (GEO), the Assistant Director will provide essential support to our diverse range of summer programs, working collaboratively with GEO staff, overseas partners, faculty, and administrative offices across campus. Responsibilities for this position include coordinating the activities of all GEO Advisors working on summer programs, assisting in strategic planning for William & Mary Arts & Science summer programming, managing and streamlining study abroad processes, and providing support to all summer programs and enrollment management. The Assistant Director will also play an active role in promoting and recruiting for GEO initiatives. Requirements for this position include a Master’s degree in education, public administration, intercultural program management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additionally, candidates should have experience in higher education and study abroad/global education programs, including budgeting, policy and procedures, and program management. Strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail, and effective communication skills are also necessary qualifications. Preferred qualifications include experience in budget management and development, familiarity with Studio Abroad/Terra Dotta software, knowledge of cross-cultural issues, fluency in a language other than English, international study or work experience, and experience in a diverse work or volunteer environment.
