OVERVIEW The University of Queensland is seeking a Global Sponsors Coordinator for a full-time fixed-term position through February 2028 at the St Lucia Campus in Australia. Internally known as Senior Officer, Student Scholarships and Prizes, the role supports the delivery of sponsored student and scholarship programs while managing relationships with domestic and international sponsors and partners. This position sits within Global Partnerships and focuses on student outcomes, stakeholder engagement, policy interpretation, and continuous process improvement. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Manage relationships with sponsors, scholarship bodies, and global partners across domestic and international contexts. – Support the administration and delivery of sponsored student and scholarship programs, including Australia Awards Scholarships. – Coordinate student, financial, and administrative services in partnership with teams across the University. – Identify and implement process improvement initiatives. – Report outcomes and contribute to strategic scholarship and sponsorship planning. – Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support service excellence and collaborative outcomes. – Contribute to an inclusive, supportive, and high-performing team environment. REQUIREMENTS – Completion of a degree with subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. – Experience working with international students, scholarships, student services, higher education administration, grants administration, government programs, or a similarly complex administrative environment. – Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with students, staff, sponsors, donors, and external stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds. – Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines. – Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, contractual obligations, and compliance requirements accurately. – Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. – Experience preparing reports, proposals, and planning documents that support operational and strategic objectives. – Ability to maintain unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of the appointment. – Willingness to complete pre-employment checks, including right-to-work verification and criminal history checks.
