Vacancy Terms: Full-time or job share considered, Permanent Salary: Grade 6, £31,396 to £36,024 per annum Weekly Hours: 37.5 Closing Date: 20th August 2023 About the Role: The Global Recruitment Team supports the University’s strategic objectives for student recruitment in the UK and international markets, as well as our commitment to Widening Access and meeting the goals outlined in our Access and Participation Plan. In this position, you will be responsible for managing relationships with schools and colleges in a targeted region across the UK. Your responsibilities will include delivering engaging workshops for students, parents, and teachers, as well as promoting the University at local and national exhibitions. This is a permanent role primarily focused on Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and Hertfordshire, with additional support for division-wide projects and activities. About You: We are looking for someone who holds a degree or equivalent qualification and has experience working in 13-19 education, further education, or higher education. As a skilled public speaker, you should possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage and interact with various individuals, including young people, parents/carers, teachers, advisers, and colleagues. Additionally, cultural awareness and sensitivity are essential for this role. Strong organization skills are required to handle a complex workload, work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and take initiative. Due to the nature of this role, which involves substantial access to young people and/or vulnerable adults, applicants should be aware that it is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Therefore, the successful applicant will undergo a check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) for any criminal record and consent to an Enhanced Child Workforce Disclosure.
