OVERVIEW The University of Central Florida is seeking an International Program Advisor to support international students, scholars, and exchange visitors through immigration and advising services. This role within UCF Global serves as a SEVIS Designated School Official (DSO) and Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO), helping maintain compliance with federal immigration regulations and supporting international programs across the institution. The position also contributes to international admissions and student services operations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Serve as a SEVIS Designated School Official (DSO) and Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO) – Advise international students, scholars, and exchange visitors on immigration and visa matters – Maintain SEVIS records and ensure accuracy of student and exchange visitor information – Process immigration documentation including DS-2019s and I-20s – Assist with visa sponsorship processes – Ensure compliance with federal immigration regulations – Facilitate workshops related to international programs and advising – Collaborate with campus and community partners on international initiatives – Support international admissions and student services as needed REQUIREMENTS – Experience advising international students, scholars, or exchange visitors on immigration and visa matters – Ability to maintain SEVIS records and process immigration documentation – Knowledge of federal immigration compliance requirements – Ability to support international admissions and advising functions – Ability to collaborate with campus and community partners – Ability to facilitate workshops and support international programs WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS International education professionals play a critical role in helping international students and scholars navigate complex immigration and visa processes while maintaining compliance with federal regulations.
