OVERVIEW New York University Abu Dhabi is seeking a Leadership and Public Speaking Course Specialist and Alumni Affairs Coordinator to support Community Programs, including the Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Scholars Program, NYU Abu Dhabi Summer Academy, Arab Film Studio Young Filmmakers Workshop, and NYUAD PhD Pathways Program. The position focuses on leadership development, public speaking instruction, alumni affairs coordination, and higher education preparation for Emirati high school and university students. This role combines student mentoring, program coordination, graduate school advising, and operational support within a dynamic educational environment. The successful candidate will contribute to programs that encourage academic growth, communication skills, and long-term student engagement. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Provide leadership and public speaking instruction for students participating in community and academic program initiatives – Coordinate alumni affairs activities connected to supported programs – Deliver graduate school advising for participating students – Support recruitment and student selection activities – Assist with international trip support and coordination – Mentor Emirati high school and university students – Support program operations across multiple initiatives – Contribute to higher education preparation programming – Work across the Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Scholars Program, NYU Abu Dhabi Summer Academy, Arab Film Studio Young Filmmakers Workshop, and NYUAD PhD Pathways Program REQUIREMENTS – Experience or involvement in leadership instruction – Experience or involvement in public speaking education – Ability to support alumni affairs coordination – Ability to provide graduate school advising – Experience supporting recruitment and student selection activities – Ability to mentor students in higher education preparation programs – Capacity to support program operations and international trip activities – Ability to work with Emirati high school and university students WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS This position supports educational access, student development, and long-term academic success through specialized leadership and public speaking programming.
