OVERVIEW The International Officer role at Durham University sits within a high performing International Office with a strong focus on international education. This position supports international activity across recruitment, global partnerships, and student mobility in line with the university Global Strategy. The role involves close collaboration with colleagues and external stakeholders to strengthen the university international profile. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Support international student recruitment activity. – Contribute to the development of global partnerships. – Support and manage student mobility programmes including Erasmus+ and exchange partnerships. – Work closely with regional managers on international initiatives. – Build and maintain relationships with counsellors and agents. – Undertake significant international travel, particularly across Asian markets. REQUIREMENTS – WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS This role plays a key part in advancing international education by supporting student mobility and strengthening global partnerships. Through direct engagement with partners and prospective student audiences, the post holder contributes to the university international presence and long-term global engagement.
