OVERVIEW University College Birmingham is seeking a Senior Global Mobility Officer to join the International Office in Birmingham, West Midlands. This full time fixed term role runs until 31 August 2027 and focuses on supporting international higher education activity through the development and delivery of global mobility opportunities. The position involves leading the planning, administration, delivery, and expansion of outbound and inbound mobility schemes. The successful candidate will contribute to international student experience initiatives while supporting the management of the Turing Scheme funding and the upcoming Erasmus+ scheme. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Lead the planning of UCB’s Global Mobility outbound scheme – Oversee the administration of mobility programmes and related activities – Support the delivery of Global Mobility outbound initiatives – Contribute to the expansion of global mobility opportunities – Lead the planning and delivery of the Global Experience inbound scheme – Manage aspects of the Turing Scheme funding – Support the upcoming Erasmus+ scheme – Work within the International Office to support international higher education activity REQUIREMENTS – Experience as an international higher education professional – Passion for bettering international HE WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Global mobility programmes play an important role in higher education by helping students and institutions build international partnerships, cultural understanding, and academic collaboration.
