OVERVIEW The Senior Study Abroad Advisor plays a central role in advancing international education and global engagement at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. This position focuses on comprehensive advising, program support, and student development across a wide range of study abroad opportunities. The role supports institutional goals by expanding access to abroad experiences and strengthening global learning across campus. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Advise students on a wide range of study abroad opportunities across all portfolios – Support both incoming and outgoing exchange students – Deliver programming for recruitment, pre-departure preparation, and re-entry support – Collaborate with faculty on study abroad program development – Contribute to international travel risk management efforts – Promote intercultural learning and global competency development across campus REQUIREMENTS WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS This role supports the university’s commitment to international education by helping students connect academic goals with meaningful study abroad experiences.
