OVERVIEW The Director of Global Partnerships & Initiatives supports strategic and operational priorities within international education at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Working closely with senior leadership, this role advances global engagement through partnerships, enrollment pathways, and academic collaboration. The position plays a central role in strengthening the institution’s international and global profile. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Lead the management and expansion of international partnerships – Support enrollment growth through partnership pathways – Nurture academic collaborations that strengthen the university’s global profile – Manage international delegations and institutional agreements – Oversee reporting related to global engagement activities – Coordinate global and international events – Support international student enrollment goals – Liaise with external partners – Advise the Senior International Officer and the Global Affairs unit REQUIREMENTS – Experience in international education – Experience in partnership development – Experience with mobility and exchange programs – Experience with sponsored student programs – Experience with grants – Strong communication skills – Strong organizational skills WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Global partnerships are essential to advancing international education and sustaining meaningful global engagement.
