OVERVIEW The Senior Director for Education Abroad at The University of Texas at Austin provides executive-level leadership for the university’s Education Abroad unit within Texas Global. Based on the UT Main Campus in Austin, Texas, this role is responsible for shaping and advancing education abroad, exchange, and experiential learning programs. The position plays a central role in supporting global student mobility and advancing international engagement across the institution. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Provide executive-level leadership for UT Austin’s Education Abroad unit within Texas Global – Oversee the overall strategy for education abroad, exchange, and experiential learning programs – Lead and manage partnerships related to education abroad and global engagement – Oversee operations supporting education abroad and exchange activities – Guide organizational development for the Education Abroad unit – Support global student mobility initiatives across the university – Advance international engagement through education abroad and experiential learning programs REQUIREMENTS WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Education abroad is a critical component of a comprehensive internationalization strategy at a major public research university.
