The position of Admissions/Student Coordinator is crucial to the college’s student enrollment process and provides valuable assistance to both prospective and current students. This role acts as the main contact for inquiries regarding admissions, guiding students through the application process, and ensuring a smooth transition into the college community. By working with various departments, the coordinator facilitates student-centered services and activities, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Admissions Support: – Respond to inquiries from prospective students, parents, and education agents regarding admissions procedures, entry requirements, and available programs. – Assist applicants throughout the application process, providing guidance on required documents, deadlines, and application status updates. – Evaluate and process applications, ensuring adherence to college policies and admission criteria. – Maintain admissions records and generate reports for management and relevant stakeholders. Student Enrollment: – Coordinate the enrollment process for accepted students, ensuring a seamless transition from acceptance to registration. – Conduct orientation sessions to familiarize new students with college facilities, academic resources, and support services. – Collaborate with academic advisors to facilitate the course registration process for incoming students. Communication and Student Support: – Act as the primary point of contact for enrolled students, addressing inquiries related to course scheduling, academic policies, and campus life. – Proactively identify and address students’ academic and personal challenges, referring them to appropriate support services as needed. – Organize and conduct regular workshops and information sessions to equip students with essential skills for academic success. Qualifications and Requirements: – Previous experience in admissions, student services, or related roles in the education sector is advantageous. – Familiarity with Australian education policies, visa regulations, and international student recruitment is a plus. – Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders. – Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively. – Empathetic and student-focused approach to supporting student needs and concerns. – Proficiency in using computer applications, databases, and student management systems. – Experience with Provider Registration and International Student Management System (PRISM) and the issuance of Confirmation of Enrolment (COE) is desirable
