Job Advertisement: Student Services Officer – London Campus Position: Student Services Officer (2 positions available) Working Hours: Full Time (37 hours, 1 FTE) Location: London Campus Duration: Permanent The Institute of Inner-City Learning is currently recruiting two Student Services Officers for its London Campus. As a member of the Student Services team, the successful candidates will collaborate with various departments to deliver a timely and supportive service to Home and International students. This role also involves ensuring compliance with University guidelines and regulations, as well as UKVI and the Students Loan Company requirements. Responsibilities: – Serve as the initial point of contact for student queries and strive to address common issues and questions independently – If necessary, refer students to appropriate resources and track the progress until resolution – Foster effective communication with colleagues to maintain a consistent and high-quality approach to student support – Provide students with pertinent updates, such as changes in timetables or class cancellations – Develop and implement efficient student service processes to deliver a timely and satisfactory experience for students – Oversee re-enrolment activities for progressing students – Monitor student attendance in adherence to University and UKVI regulations, alerting relevant personnel of any issues promptly – Maintain accurate and up-to-date attendance records, generating regular reports and identifying students with attendance concerns – Collaborate with colleagues to ensure compliance with University, UKVI, and other relevant authorities’ rules and regulations – Ensure accuracy and currency of individual student data, including financial information – Other administrative tasks as required Requirements: – Good general education background – Demonstrated track record of delivering high-quality customer service – Previous administrative experience in a fast-paced environment – Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage individuals at all levels – Keen attention to detail – Strong ability to meet deadlines and manage workload effectively – Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages; ability to learn new software systems – Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and in partnership with others – Self-motivated with the ability to work under minimal supervision To apply for this position, click on the ‘Apply Now’ button.
