Contract: Full-time, Fixed Term (Up to 12 Months) Job Overview: University College Birmingham is seeking a Student Immigration Advice and Compliance Officer to join its Compliance team. This role will involve supporting the university’s Student Route compliance operations. To be successful, candidates should have experience in the Student Route immigration category within the Higher Education sector. They should also possess a good understanding of Student Route Sponsor guidance and be able to apply the rules to address complex student immigration matters. Familiarity with the UKVI SMS system, including CAS issue and reporting change of circumstances, is essential. Successful candidates will also be knowledgeable about the gov.uk student visa application process and able to support continuing and returning students in obtaining visas. The ideal candidate will be proactive and skilled in problem-solving, with excellent communication and organizational abilities. They should feel confident in providing advice to both students and faculty members and have a proven track record of working well under pressure in a busy and ever-changing environment. The start date for this role is February 2023, pending pre-employment checks.
