Job Type: Full-time (35 hours per week) Duration: Permanent position Salary: Starting from $96,960 per annum (+17% superannuation and leave loading) Location: Randwick, NSW Job Description: The Student Help Specialist plays a vital role in providing high-quality services for various administrative processes and student inquiries through multiple channels. This role requires extensive knowledge and expertise in student services, including case management and resolution of student inquiries. Additionally, the Student Help Specialist acts as a first line of escalation and may act as a substitute for the Student Hub Team Lead when necessary. Qualifications: – Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in education, training, or student services – Demonstrated experience in a customer service environment, providing advice on complex and sensitive matters – Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to negotiate, convey ideas to diverse audiences, and use tact and diplomacy – Ability to learn and implement policies and procedures, ensure compliance, and improve individual or team performance in a complex environment – Proven ability to work independently, manage projects and workstreams, and prioritize tasks in a high-volume service environment with minimal supervision – Initiative and judgment in interpreting and advising on administrative policies and procedures – Ability to multitask, adapt to changing workloads, and respond positively to unexpected events – Strong team player with the ability to work flexibly and develop networks within the University Benefits and Company Culture: UNSW offers competitive salary packages and various additional benefits, including 17% superannuation and leave loading, flexible working arrangements, additional leave during the Christmas period, lifelong learning opportunities, career development programs, and progressive HR practices.
