Job Title: Student Experience Administrator Organization: Adelaide Institute of Higher Education (AIHE) Location: Adelaide, South Australia About Adelaide Institute of Higher Education (AIHE): Adelaide Institute of Higher Education (AIHE) is a dynamic Higher Education provider based in South Australia. AIHE offers government accredited Bachelor of Business and Master of Business Administration (MBA) courses to both international and domestic students. AIHE is part of the Adelaide Education Group (AEG), which also includes Adelaide International School (AIS), Adelaide Institute of Business and Technology (AIBT), and Adelaide Research Institute (ARI). Job Description: The Student Experience Administrator at AIHE is responsible for creating and implementing student events and activities to foster a vibrant and inclusive campus culture. The role focuses on promoting student participation, intercultural awareness, student health and well-being, and student retention. The Student Experience Administrator also assists students in accessing professional counseling services and coordinates career information and guidance, helping students define their career goals and develop job search skills. The role involves collaborating with industry partners to secure work-integrated learning opportunities, professional placements, volunteering opportunities, internships, career development workshops, and mentorship programs. Additionally, the Student Experience Administrator organizes a Graduation Ceremony at the end of each year. Key Responsibilities: 1. Develop and execute the Student Engagement and Wellbeing program in consultation with the General Manager and Head of School. 2. Coordinate and execute an Orientation program for new AIHE students. 3. Manage support services for new arrivals, including airport pick-up arrangements, accommodation assistance, and peer mentoring. 4. Plan and organize on-campus and off-campus activities/events to enhance inclusiveness, build student relationships, promote student health and well-being, raise cultural awareness, and maximize student retention. 5. Facilitate student leadership programs and support the Student Voice Committee. 6. Create industry and community engagement opportunities for students, such as volunteering and work-integrated learning experiences. 7. Coordinate the planning and execution of the annual Graduation Ceremony. 8. Implement student well-being strategies focusing on healthy lifestyles, student safety, and mental health. 9. Provide individual and group counseling sessions for students who require support and liaise with external counseling services as needed. 10. Advise and guide students on accessing various support services such as Legal Services, Overseas Student Ombudsman, Accommodation, and Fair Work. 11. Assist international students with the transition to life in Australia through pre-arrival workshops, orientation, and first-year student support. 12. Provide high-quality support for student inquiries and matters. 13. Monitor student progression and performance, including attendance and welfare issues. 14. Foster strong relationships with staff across the organization. 15. Maintain documentation and records as required. 16. Communicate effectively and timely with external parties. 17. Provide administrative support to the General Manager and other staff members when necessary. Qualifications and Experience: – Bachelor’s degree. – Current knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to international students. – Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to relate well to students and professionals from diverse backgrounds. – Professional approachability and the ability to handle confidential situations. – Strong written communication skills and understanding of policy documents. – Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities. – Proficient in IT and digital literacy, including student management systems and MS365 products. – Demonstrated maturity and mentoring skills. – Knowledge of the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000 and the National Code of Practice for Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students 2018 (desirable). – Experience working in the international higher education sector, preferably in a commercial setting (desirable). Clearances and Checks: – The successful candidate will be required to undergo a Working with Children Check (WWCC) with the South Australian government.
